I'm Back.....

Hello everyone

So back in November I blogged (was it that long ago....!!!) to say I'd be back blogging very soon and very regular....but as you can see from the radio (well social media) silence I didn't at all.  How naughty of me.  But now I am definitely back....and with a lot to share with you so will do a few posts this week so as not to overload the airwaves.

So first of all back in the summer I started the Tea on The Green Crochet Along designed by The Wee House of Crochet and Lynda's Craft Room in connection with Kniftcraft HQ/Hobbycraft.  It was a wonderful way to pass along the long summer nights and also a holiday companion of mine when we visited Alcudia in September.  The blanket and the different granny squares accompanied me on many rides on my bike where I would sit on the grass or a bench having a rest during the many miles I did.  I couldn't share the blanket with you all as I made it for my very best friend Samantha and as I had personalised it with her name on a graph-gan panel I didn't want her to see the photos on social media.  I used the pack available from Hobbycraft to make the blanket and added the extra bobble border as well as the personalised name.

But here is the finished blanket in all its glory.  (Photos taken in November in Astley Park, Chorley)

and here you can see the bobble border I added
 and I added flowers too....

I started in July and finished in November which just in time to start on the next blanket designed by Wee House of Crochet and Lynda's Craft Room which was called Christmas Is.... which I just finished in February using Stylecraft Yarns.

And the finished blanket.....

Again I added a border of bobbles as I love love love bobbles.

and I added some red bobble noses on the reindeers too.
It was the first time I'd tried tapestry crochet and I love it.

I'm now working on a second Tea on The Green blanket in a different colourway using Stylecraft yarns for my friend's dad and this will also be personalised with his name on a graph-gan along the bottom and I'll be sharing photos of that as I go along.

BUT....  over the weekend an announcement was made that Lynda and Lisa's THIRD, yes THIRD....  CAL is on its way and will start on March 30th....  not very long to wait.  I have seen a sneaky peek of it and it is absolutely beautiful (and as awesome as the other two CALs) and oh sooooo different too and the packs of yarn will be available this coming week from Hobbycraft.  I'll post the link on my blog where you can find it and if you fancy doing a crochet along.

There's also an awesome Facebook page hosted by the designers (where I'm lucky to be admin) where you can be kept up to date with designs and information.  If you want to join us just pop along right here  and ask to join

I will be along in a few days time to share some photos with you of Lynda and Lisa's Crochet Sanctuary I was lucky enough to go to in February....  It was heavenly....  staying in a posh hotel with lots of lovely food and yarn and lots of company too.  The weekend was their very first event and was such a wonderful weekend for them and their forthcoming weekends for the year are filling up fast.  But I'll tell you more about that in a few days.

Till then, bye for now.

Take care
Tanya x
