So I’ve recently come back from a lovely two week break on a Mediterranean cruise and a week’s stay in a hotel in Sa Coma, Majorca, so I’ve decided to make a start on a scrapbook about our holiday and this is the first page of the week’s stay in a hotel that I’d like to share with you.

HAPPY HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY POLKADOODLES - PART 2

Happy 7th birthday Polka Doodles.
As this anniversary is normally called the "7 year itch", the Polka Doodles team have embraced the prickly feeling by scratching that itch and mixing/scratching up some new images ... get the pun? Corny we know but the team have had great fun. So to embrace the “itchy scratch” the Polka Doodles team have thrown caution to the wind and “scratched up” a different kind of birthday celebration.
The birthday celebrations will be running for 2 weeks and each day someone from the Polka Doodles team will be sharing their “mixed/scratched up” image. It’s been all hush hush and secret squirrel too as no one knows who has been busy creating what and when they will be revealing their image... so the Polka Doodles team get to join in the fun too. To add an extra layer of itchy fun, everyone has also been colouring up the new “scratched/mixed up” images, (still not knowing who designed them) and they will be sharing via their blogs and on FaceBook.
We really have scratched things up ... new merged images, no one knows who created what and no one knows when they’ll be sharing them ...!
Please do take the opportunity to visit the Polka Doodles team and see their new digi images because you will find a discount code (or two) along your way that you can use in the Polka Doodles shop

The BELIEVE letters are the scrapbook tiles available on the Work & Play Love Collection available as a single download HERE

Here is my card make:

I've used the following:

Daler Rowney Mixed Media paper for the background
Versa Magic Jumbo Java chalk ink for the edges
8x8 white card

Oh, I don't know who has scratched together this mix of Serenity Blossom mixed up with the toadstools from Lilybug Love but it's just perfect for me and I had a right good time colouring it up with my Graph It Markers. You can buy the scratched up digi from the Polka Doodles shop right now by going HERE but the individual digis can be found HERE for the Serenity Blossom digi on her own or on a full collection download right HERE and the Lilybug Love collection can be purchased right HERE where you can find the toadstools that have merged with Serenity Blossom. I've mixed the cloud paper from the Octavia Moonfly Collection available HERE together with papers from the Serenity Collection. The sentiments are from the Work & Play Feel The Music collection available HERE. A proper total mash-up and one that works absolutely perfectly.
I've made a very large card using a 12x12 inch card stock and used two shades of purple card for the matting and layering with touches of ink from a Memento Ink Dewdrop pad called Lulu Lavender for the distressed edges I've made using scissors.
I've added some toadstools I bought from a charity shop and some moss from my stash to embellish the design.
The digis have been coloured using my GRAPH IT pens as follows:
Skin - 4115, 4145, 4155, 4170, 6150
Hair - 6110, 6130, 6185, 7185, 6170
Lips - 5245
Clothing - 7115, 7130, 7150
Grass - 8160, 8140, 8250
Toadstools - 5260, 5245, 9203, 9205, 4115
Flowers & Leaves - 1250, 1180, 8160, 8250
White Gelly Roll for the dots on the hair
Ice Stickles (Crystal Ice) for the wings and spots on the toadstools.
Here she is....

I can't wait to see which member of the team has made this mash-up and if you pop along to their blog you might be in for a little bit of a treat!! Keep your eyes peeled on our Facebook pages throughout the day to see who else has coloured this digi.
Take care

POLKADOODLES SAMPLE - LITTLE KINGDOM

Hello again!!

Well, my last post of today's three posts and I've saved my most favourite sample till the end...

For this make I used the Little Kingdom CD that you can get right HERE on preorder as the TV show was a sell out!!  And I'm not surprised because who could resist the charm of these wonderful uber cute collections from the very talented Nikky.

This time I've made a hanging HOME sign using an MDF board and layering the paper from the collection over it and inking the edges with Versa Magic Jumbo Java ink and then layering some chunky HOME letters from The Works which I've inked as well onto the MDF board and then embellishing it lots and lots with flowers, butterflies, hearts, houses which I printed onto Kraft card and then decoupaged them and added Icicle Stickles Glitter glue and finished off with a hanging bow of twine.

Hope you like my make.  See you on Tuesday for my next Digi Choosday make.
Take care

POLKADOODLES SAMPLE - Magic Garden

Hello everybody

PRE-ORDER Magic Garden CD-rom My second post of the day....with another one planned for this evening too which will be the last of my samples for the brand new Polkadoodles Soup Collections.

This is an 8x8 kraft card which I've used the Magic Garden CD for the papers and embellishments which you can get on pre-order right HERE

AND if you haven't still watched the TV show you can go right to the Create & Craft catch up online and watch it again until Wednesday.

Now there's some fab templates on both of the collections but on this collection there's a fab mailer envelope that you can use to house your cards that have plenty of dimension, I show cased this last week and this is a matching card I made using the same flowers and dimension and lace.

I used Kraft card and one of the background tree scenes from the CD and the green chequered paper too and inked around the edges in Memento Ink in Desert Sand and some liquid pearls in Gold Pearl around the design with the flowers layered up and arranged to match the envelope.

Hope you like my make.

One more post to come later this evening....

Take care
