Lily Bug Love (Snug as a Bug) - Polkadoodles - Part Two

Helllooooo there.

I'm  back again to show case the wonderfully cute Lily Bug Love collection  with my second make of the day.  This time I've done a little bit of decoupage.

I used Do Crafts Digital Designer for the base of the  8x8 card and merged everything from the collection including the papers and the sentiments and then printed out the Lily Bug Love Big Heart coloured digi a few times and decoupaged her and then added a bit of glossy accents on her wings and some glamour dust and then finished the card off with a couple of cute pinky buttons and a length of satin ribbon and a big crystal heart.

Click on the thumb linkies below for full details of the CD and download full collections.

Lili Bug Love (You're so Dotty) - Polkadoodles - Part One

Hellooooooo

It's Sunday and there's a verrry verrry pretty new girl on the block to showcase today.  She was released a couple of days ago by the lovely Nikky Hall from Polkadoodles.  She's called

and she is uber uber cute.

She's not just for loved up valentine type cards, she's for every kind of girly occasion for the big girls and little girls in your life.

She's available as a full collection in CD and download versions and available as lots of itty bitty little collections and single black and white digis.

There's something for all price pockets.
The big collection is just £9.99 with over 200 digital elements of gorgeousness!!

Here is my first make that I'm going to share with you today:

It's a totally flat card with the only dimension created by glossy accents and glamour dust glitter on the ladybirds and the lovely little Lily Bug and a few faux pink pearls.
All the other pretties on the card are from the collection and I've just resized them and jiggled them around on Do Crafts Designer until I was happy with the design.

Here's the ingredients I've used:

Lily Bug Love (click on the thumb linkies below)
8 x 8 card
Glamour Dust
Glossy Accents
Crystal stickers Pearls in light pink.

Thanks for looking
I'll be back in an hour or so with another make from this collection.

Take care

Mum & Dad's Anniversary Card - Polkadoodles Colour Therapy Alphabet

Hello folks

Happy Saturday to you all.

Well last week for the Digi Choosday Stitching Challenge I created an embroidered picture as a gift for my mum and dad for their wedding anniversary and I decided at the same time I would make them a matching card using the same Colour Therapy alphabet.  All the thumb linkies below link to Polkadoodles and to all the Colour Therapy collections available from big kits available on CD and download to individual sets of three and individual alphabets and the ever so popular Colour Therapy Colouring Club.

This is the card I created.

I mixed the Colour Therapy Collection with papers from the Rose Budd Collection just to show you that it's easy to mix and match the collections.

Here's the ingredients I used:

Liquid Pearls - White Opal
8 x 8 card base
Pink Card for matting and layering
White lace
Versa Magic Chalk Ink in Jumbo Java for the edges
Cosmic Drawing Inks
Wink of Stella in Clear Glitter
Graph It Pens - 5115, 3280, 8280

Hope you like my make

Take care

It's Digi Choosday Day - Week 4 - In Bloom

Hello everybody

It’s Digi Choosday day again. These Tuesdays definitely come round really fast!!

Hope you’re ready to enter another Digi Choosday Challenge.

This week our challenge is  ‘IN BLOOM’.

I love searching the internet for new things to make and also getting inspiration and as soon as I saw the craze for making teacup art I instantly knew that this week’s challenge would fit this project perfectly.  I had a teacup that had a wonderful soy candle in it and was wondering what I could make with the empty cup.  Here is a step by step picture tutorial of my make (with the exception of one ingredient which is magic and you'll have to scroll to the bottom of my blog post to find out what it is).  I resized and printed some of the flowers from the Eden Collection and put them to one side.  I gathered my ingredients...  cup and saucer, bird cage, toadstools and reindeer moss and then using the magic ingredient started to assemble my make.

I then added the flowers and the bird cage and toadstool using silicone glue to the tea cup
and with Octavia Moonfly characters and the bird from the Eden Collection which I printed onto shrink plastic to make them teeny weeny.  My make was complete...  voila

Here are the ingredients I used for my make:

Flowers from the Eden Collection
Octavia Moonfly Collection for the two shrink plastic characters
The Bird from the Eden Collection
Teacup and saucer
Unibond Glue
Silicone glue
Wooden Ladybird
Toadstools
Birdcage
Deco Art Glimmer Dust
Liquid Pearls in Baby Blue for centre of flowers
Reindeer Moss

So there's one last thing I used....  Have you guessed it already?  What is holding the cup suspended onto the saucer...  Well it's a fork bent in this shape!!!  Who would have known that once you cover the fork with reindeer moss it would become almost invisible.

Here is the fork shaped and glued into the inside of the cup and on the saucer.  It does take a bit of patience to hold it while the glue sets but it's definitely worth the wait.

So will you be trying this art.  I've got a mind full of ideas how this could be used so watch this space for further makes throughout the year.

Don’t forget about the new Polkadoodlescollection which is absolutely raaaaawwwwrrr…. Sticks & Bones Collection and the two weekly Colour Therapy Club as well.

I’m excited to see your makes for this week’s challenge.  And remember you can create a card or a fab piece of d├ęcor, but just remember to follow the rules listed in the blog.  And not only can you win a fabulous prize if you are in the top 3/random prize winner but you can also grab your discount code.  How fab is that?  The discount code only lasts for 24 hours so you’d better head off over there right now to grab it.

And don't forget last week's challenge is still open.  All our challenges last for two weeks, so you've got bags of time to get your entry in.

Why not join in our Facebook groups as well.  Just search for Digi Choosday and Polkadoodles Crafting and The Pencil Case and the Inky Pinkies and ask to join the groups to join in all the fun.  It’s a great community group to join in with and show off your Polkadoodles makes.  There’s always one of the Design Team around to have a natter with and offer guidance and inspiration, so don’t be shy….head on over there right now!!!

Take care
