WOYWW!! Wednesday 25th February 2015

Hello all you crafty people

Welcome to another Wednesday

Well on my desk today is this snazzy little storage box that my sister bought me for Christmas. I've been wondering what I could store in the itty little bitty compartments and as I've started to collect flowers and little embellishments for my card making and other projects I thought I'd store them in here.

I just love being organised. Next up on my little organisation splurge is my ribbon and lace stash which is getting out of hand.

I've sorted my buttons into two little jars in the meantime. I just love love love buttons.

And also on my desk today is one of the bespoke orders I'm working on. Hee is a teeny weeny peek at it.

So what are you up to today?

Take care

It's Digi Choosday - Week 8 - Anything Goes

Hello everybody

Welcome to another  Digi Choosday challenge.  We have a corker of a challenge for you this week - It is 'ANYTHING GOES’ so guaranteed to get those creative juices working overtime!!

I’ve gone back to card making this week and have used the fab Work & Play 3 collection.
I’ve used the cloud paper and the coloured digi images of the boy, girl and caravan which I’ve printed out several times and decoupaged.  I just love cutting out and layering up images.  There’s nothing more relaxing than cutting out.

I made the grass from some green card I had in my stash and just roughly cut it to look like blades of grass.

I finished the card off with one of the sentiments from the Work & Play 3 collection.  I just love the sentiments on this collection and the tag shapes are fab.

Here is my crafty make:-

These are the ingredients I have used:

  • 8x8 card base
  • Cloud paper, digi images and sentiment from Work & Play 3 collection (follow the Thumb Linkies below for the full collection and the single digi character images in black and white to colour yourself)
  • Green card for the grass
  • Pinflair Glue

I can’t wait to see your creations this week.  And remember, it’s not just for cards, you can create ANYTHING you want from home décor to cards, just remember to follow the rules listed in the blog.  The theme this week should really get you entering in your droves, so come on….get crafting!

Take care

It's Digi Choosday Day - Week 7 - Springtime Pastels

Hello everybody

Welcome to another  Digi Choosday challenge.  This week’s challenge is ‘Springtime Pastels.’

When searching through my crafty stash I found these MDF butterflies that I had bought to make a home decor project.

So to welcome the start of spring and the lovely flowers that will soon be appearing in gardens attracting wonderful butterflies I have made something to hang in our bedroom once I've finished decorating it.

It was really simple to make but did take some time especially punching out all the teeny weeny flowers and sticking them to the butterfly wings.  I lost count with how many I punched out but the result is definitely worth the time spent.

The papers are from the Octavia Moonfly OCTAVIA MOONFLY collection which I have imported into Do Crafts Digital Designer and then added the words from the collection to them and then printed the papers out and using Mod Podge stuck them to the butterfly shapes and then sanded the edges off.

Here is my crafty make:

These are the ingredients I have used:

  • Five MDF butterflies in different sizes
  • Papers and sentiments printed from the Octavia Moonfly collection (follow the Thumb Linkies below for the different collections available)
  • Hessian twine
  • Tonic small flower punch
  • Pinflair Glue
  • Mod Podge to glue the paper to the butterflies
  • Sandpaper for the edges of the butterfly to sand the paper off
  • Small ball tool and soft mat for the centres of the flowers to make them curl

Hope you will join me and my other teamies each Tuesday to see what we've been crafting.  We would love to see your creations, so what are you waiting for…. Get crafting!!

And remember, it’s not just for cards, you can create ANYTHING you want from home décor to cards, just remember to follow the rules listed in the blog and keep to the theme for the week.

Take care
